About
Philosophy of care
My approach is to treat you like family. As family, I have some advice: Let's build a trusting relationship, so we can work together to address your health issues. Remember that your illness also impacts your family, so we also will need to help them. And let’s both remain open-minded so you receive the best possible care.
Why I entered medicine
Medicine is endlessly fascinating and surprises me daily as I learn more and more. On any given day I may have the amazing opportunity to help someone fend off a disease or resolve a complex issue. Some days I make the ultimate difference by saving a life, and I cannot think of a greater honor than that.
Community involvement
I have a free YouTube channel called Ninja Nerd Lectures where I discuss various scientific and medical topics to help students cement their understanding of a particular topic. It has reached nearly 1 million people worldwide.
Personal interests
I love spending time with my amazing fiancé and two French bulldogs, Gibbs and McGee. We love to hike or walk in the park. I love the beach and being in the water, surfing whenever possible. I also love reading and learning about science and medicine each day.
