Workplace Injury and Illness Care

Treating all work-related injuries and illnesses, we provide a sophisticated occupational medicine program under the direction of board-certified occupational medicine physicians that helps reduce workplace injuries and returns injured workers to the workplace quickly and safely. We work with companies to help minimize recordable injuries and reduce lost time incidents.

LVHN Occupational Medicine facilities provide a full array of injury treatment services, including:

  • Burns
  • Contusions
  • Eye injury
  • Foreign body removal
  • Lacerations
  • Repetitive use injury
  • Sprains
  • Strains
  • Work-related illness

Because our focus is solely occupational medicine, there is never a conflict of interest with treatment of the employee for non-work related conditions or providing medical care to family members. We offer a panel of providers for specialty care who can quickly schedule appointments and provide rapid turnaround with medical status reports. Employers may utilize the LVHN panel or receive referral to their own designated provider panel.

Case management

Our registered nurse case managers are key. They help save time, claim payments and out-of-work losses. Case managers coordinate care and arrange for necessary follow-up treatment, testing or specialty physician referrals with a focus on assuring consistent quality care while avoiding unnecessary medical testing, duplication of services and delays. They work closely with your early return-to-work and modified/light duty programs to help transition the injured worker back into the workforce. Companies can expect regular updates regarding status and progress of their injured employees. Learn more about case managers here.

LVHN Occupational Medicine accepts the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Board fee schedule for injury and illness treatment services.
