Featured Position: Bariatric Medicine at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Hazleton

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is seeking a board-certified internal medicine (IM) or family medicine (FM) physician with added certification in bariatric medicine. The successful candidate will be a member of the medical staff of LVHN and join our current fellowship-trained bariatric surgeon in an established program on the campus of Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)–Hazleton. The program has a dedicated RN coordinator and nutritionist. Patients are seen at the state-of-the-art LVPG Weight Loss Management Center at the Health & Wellness Center at Hazleton, which is scheduled to double in size over the next three years.

LVHN’s flagship campus at Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)–Cedar Crest in Allentown is a fully accredited, comprehensive center recognized by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP). The Weight Management Center at our Cedar Crest campus is home to a weight-loss program and accredited metabolic and bariatric surgery program established in 2000.  Our Hazleton-based medical bariatric program is an MBSAQIP Data Collection Center. The program was established in 2006.
