The combination creates a leading integrated academic health care delivery system, alongside a national doctoral research university and an expanded not-for-profit health plan. We are committed to improving patient access and delivering high-quality and cost-effective care in areas that are often underserved and at higher risk for chronic conditions. Managing the health of these populations is fundamental to our mission. Benefits include:

• For our patients: With 32 hospital campuses and more than 700 sites of care, the combination will increase patient access to high-quality and affordable care, clinical trials and health plan offerings while addressing health inequities for urban and rural communities in eastern Pennsylvania and South Jersey.

The combined Jefferson-LVHN organization is committed to ensuring the patients and communities it serves continue to have access to exceptional care from their clinicians throughout the integration process and beyond. Patients will continue to see their physicians and care teams as they have been and will receive updates on additional offerings as available.

We will continue to grow to serve the needs of our community and provide convenient and world-class health care close to home.

Jefferson and LVHN are implementing a thoughtful integration process that purposefully aligns and builds upon the strengths of both organizations. Throughout this process, patient access to care at LVHN and Jefferson will remain uninterrupted.

Lehigh Valley Health Network will initially be referred to as “Lehigh Valley Health Network, proudly part of Jefferson Health” in our communications and marketing materials. Eventually, Lehigh Valley Health Network will incorporate Jefferson into its naming conventions.

Your care and appointments remain unchanged. You do not need to contact your physician or make any changes in your care plan.

LVHN will continue to provide world-class care close to home, leveraging the collaboration and expertise of both organizations Patients will continue to see their physicians and receive care in their community and, over time, will have access to a broader network of specialists when needed.
