Summary

Develops and implements plans and services that support optimal patient flow and promote Network growth. Plans, organizes, and manages all material, financial, and human resources. Collaborates with multiple departments and constituencies including ED, OR, Patient Care Services, Staffing Office, Housekeeping, Facilities, Planning, etc. to ensure optimal patient flow, delivering highest level of patient outcomes and positive patient experience.

Job Duties

  • Develops and implements plans that promote Network growth and optimal patient flow throughout the company.
  • Ensures provision of high-quality Transfer Center operations.
  • Guides and oversees the management to maximize service and patient flow assuring economical outcomes, budget compliance, and productivity.
  • Develops and implements protocols, operating policies, and processes to allow for optimal patient flow.
  • Utilizes available quantitative and qualitative data for analytic decision making and monitoring trends; makes recommendations for change.
  • Ensures that bed TAT remains at target ranges for all sites through monitoring of BedTracking reports and collaboration with General Services.
  • Works closely with Gift of Life, Funeral Directors, and Pathology to ensure decedent affairs management.
  • Ensures appropriate development of unit naming and creates beds working with patient care services, IT, Finance (accommodation codes).

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in health or business field.
  • 5 years of experience in a leadership role involving patient care services or patient flow functions.
  • Ability to think logically and sequentially understands redesign concepts and re-demonstrates ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
