Summary

Manages patient and customer satisfaction, quality standards, performance improvement, and personnel performance and productivity. Manages all material, financial, and human resources within assigned area(s). Oversees program planning, budget development, goal development, performance improvement, and operations improvement.

Job Duties

  • Directs, supervises, and appraises personnel.
  • Ensures the delivery of quality by audits, established standard work processes and protocols.
  • Oversees the operations issues for Central Scheduling and Access Services.
  • Identifies and defines qualitative and quantitative production standards to ensure all patients are received safely into the network.
  • Develops and implements scheduling protocols and operating policies that ensure seamless access.
  • Educates staff on all regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors the overall performance and participation of the team using Cisco reports, API time keeping system, NRC data, EPIC and Patient Access-specific auditing tools.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a health industry discipline such as business administration, hospital administration, public administration, or related field or
  • 5 years healthcare experience with a demonstrated track record of success in progressively responsible assignments and leadership positions will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in health care setting. At least 1 year experience in supervisory or directing the work of others.
  • Negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree
  • Developing and improving workflows. Experience managing external or third-party relationships with physicians, practices and/or diagnostic test departments.
  • Knowledge of basic call center measures and metrics.
  • Proficiency in EPIC software.
  • Proficiency in EPIC or other healthcare-related scheduling software system.
  • Basic medical terminology.

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
