The LVPG Family Medicine team understands that when everyone works together, beautiful moments occur and everyone wins. In March 2023, Amy T. Miller, DO, was admitted to the hospital for acute myeloid leukemia (AML), a cancer which can be life threatening if left untreated. The moment colleagues learned of Dr. Miller’s condition, they unanimously agreed to provide support.
Hope, Strength and Team Support
LVPG Family Medicine stands in support of a colleague during a health crisis
The practice director, in a symbol of hope and strength, created T-shirts for the team, and colleagues immediately began to sport orange ribbons.
Before being diagnosed, Dr. Miller had been actively training for a half-marathon. Against the odds, almost two weeks after being discharged from the hospital, Dr. Miller was approved to run again on April 23. In true Lehigh Valley Health Network fashion, the LVPG Family Medicine team attended the race, cheering in support for Dr. Miller.
We're #LVHNProud of Dr. Miller’s resilience and the efforts of our exemplary colleagues.
