SummaryOversees the day-to-day operation of the retail pharmacy. Assists in the recruitment and training of staff. Purchases and maintains inventory within acceptable levels to assure quality patient care. Identifies opportunities for revenue growth and patient care enhancement.
Job Duties
- Oversees clinical activities of pharmacy to ensure delivery of safe and effective patient care.
- Maintains patient records, prescriptions, and other documentation in keeping with pharmacy policies and laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Federal Standards.
- Ensures timely prescription processing to maximize patient care.
- Manages inventory to ensure adequate supplies and medications for patients' needs, including the development of contracts with suppliers to take maximum advantage of buying contracts and special pricing.
- Maintains the pharmacy in compliance with all applicable laws.
- Provides training and implementation of any new or existing policies and procedures.
- Analyzes branch trends in relation to company-wide trends to aid in the development of a system-wide quality improvement process.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in pharmacy or
- 3 years experience as a Pharmacist and
- 2 years experience in retail pharmacy.
- DL - Driver's License_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- RP - Registered Pharmacist - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
Preferred Qualifications- Master’s Degree in business or public health.
- Doctorate in pharmacy
Physical DemandsLift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
