Summary

The Manager Treasury & Investments will have primary responsibility for the Treasury Departments duties related to the oversight and management of all Network investment pools and retirement programs (including the Defined Benefits (DB) and other Defined Contribution (DC) plans. This includes coordination with the Network's outside investment managers, trustee, actuary, plan administrators, and accountants. Responsibilities include Internal coordination and reporting with the Accounting, Finance and Budgeting staff.

Job Duties

  • Investment Management Responsibilities > Maintain operational contact with outside investment professionals including Trustee, Managers and Advisors > Review of investment entries > Review of performance results > Initiate Board approved changes to investment policies or managers > Completion and review of internal investment reports > Provide internal 990 and Cost Reports and rating agency requested information > Monitor compliance with investment policies > Preparation of investment footnotes for annual and quarterly financial reports > Trouble shoot issues as they arise
  • Oversight of Pension Programs > Review and monitor pension investment activity > Completion of the annual DB audit - Complete Excel Statement (SCMA, SNA) - Complete Excel Files for footnotes - Assist with 5500 schedules (C,H,R, etc.) -Fill out 5500 draft schedules -Review audi report for presentation to SR Mgmt. - Tie investment reports to the appropriate 5500 schedules > Completion of the DC Audits - Monitor progress of audit and deadlines - Assist with issues and notify Sr. Mgmt. as needed - Audit comment responses if required > Work with actuaries/trustees/consultants on DB and DC programs - DB and DC annual valuations - DB and DC footnote details - DB and DC budget projections - Various strategic plan discussions > Worksheets Reconciling all pension liabilities. > Attend Quarterly Retirement Plan Committee meetings.
  • Accounting > DB pension accounting > DC pension accounting > Book 457b activity > Review Journal entries of others for accuracy > Prepare monthly financial statement information.
  • Budgets > Budget creation for DB and DC Plans > Budget creation for Investment revenue and balances > Liability/Investment balances for Insurance

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Treasury areas of study.
  • 5 years Treasury operations experience including responsibilities for investment and pension management or related accounting experience..
  • General accounting knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to break down complex processes into simpler parts for analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Skill in collecting and analyzing complex data.
  • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
  • General pension related knowledge (Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution).
  • General Investment related knowledge and private equity exposure.
  • Experience working in Workday.
  • Experience working in GTreasury.
  • CPA - Certified Public Accountant - State of Pennsylvania or
  • CTP - Certified Transplant Preservationist ABTC - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
