SummaryAssists customers in choosing durable or home medical equipment as prescribed by physicians in person, by phone, and other methods of communication. Measures and fits for custom and non-custom orthotics, vascular garments, and mastectomy products. Monitors inventory of medical supplies.
Job Duties
- Assists customers in their selection of medical equipment and supplies.
- Receives inventory, labels prices/costs, and places in appropriate areas.
- Performs quality control, property management, and repair parts management.
- Measures fit for customer medical products and garments.
- Advises and educates customers in the purchase and selection of products.
- Assists patients and customers at the pharmacy or upon request by phone.
- Monitors stock levels and submits purchase orders to various manufacturers.
- Ensures pre-authorizations are obtained and billing is done in a timely manner.
- Assists in the coordination of the equipment repair process and maintains inventory.
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years of experience in customer service.
- Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Word, Excel, and email.
Physical DemandsLift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
