SummaryAssists with scheduling, clerical, patient registration, and drives vehicle to and from treatment locations. Maintains interior and exterior and ensures that all service maintenance, vehicle inspections, and routine maintenance are scheduled and completed. Creates an environment of patient safety and compliance according to the standards established by governing body requirements. Completes all set-up and coach end-of-day activities at all sites. Participates in site and shift rotations, as necessary.
Job Duties
- Interacts professionally as an effective team member: greets patients, confirms patient identification, Verifies patient demographics and insurance. Provides information to patients as necessary.
- Responsible for safely driving coach to treatment locations, plotting driving routes, and maintaining safe driving record.
- Responsible for daily pre and post operation checks on the mobile coach to ensure readiness for driving; assumes responsibility and accountability for safety.
- Maintains daily driving logs and supplies for coach maintenance and daily operations
- Assists with orientation of new colleagues, may assist with locating prior patient information. Complies with hospital and department policies and procedures. Completes assigned education modules.
- Stays abreast of current job knowledge by attending training workshops, reading technical publications, and presenting at events.
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years vehicle driving experience
- Basic computer and typing skills.
- Ability to work with interruptions and adapt to changing priorities.
- DL - Driver's License_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
Preferred Qualifications- Some knowledge of medical terminology
Physical DemandsLift and carry 40-50 lbs. Examples: Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force), lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight. Frequent to continuous standing/walking. Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift. *Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
