Summary

Supports program leadership in coordinating patient workflows including revenue cycle management; ensuring office workflows that support the clinical program including clerical duty allocation, coaching and oversight; reports and data management; supplies, equipment, and environmental maintenance; and supporting patient and provider satisfaction, service recovery, and quality initiatives.

Job Duties

  • Supports program leadership in coordinating patient workflows including referral processing, revenue cycle activities (accurate and timely registration, scheduling, benefit verification, precertification, billing), and liaising with the Director - BH Revenue Cycle and other departmental, network, and community/third-party entities.
  • Coordinates office workflows that support the clinical program including clerical staff duty allocation, coaching, communications, and oversight; data collection and reports; supplies and equipment maintenance; accounts payable and purchase order activities; and medical records/Release of Information management.
  • Supports program leadership in troubleshooting, problem solving, and corrective action in matters relating to clerical program, provider satisfaction, patient satisfaction, service recovery, and quality initiatives.
  • Utilizes, supports, and educates other clerical staff on proper, patient-centered communication including in crisis situations and before handing off to clinical staff.
  • Monitors and ensures that program environment meets practice, departmental, and network standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 3 years in a clerical field.
  • Ability to work with interruptions and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
  • Ability to provide feedback and coaching.
  • Knowledge and working use of medical terminology.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Proven proficiency of technology and EMR workflows at the conclusion of orientation.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree in Business administration

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
