Summary

Provides substance use disorder prevention services in educational and community settings in order to educate and reduce the probability of the early onset of the use of substances.

Job Duties

  • Employs educational strategies in groups and individual sessions with target populations.
  • Provides technical assistance and consultation to educational and community partners.
  • Communicates with other professionals regarding status of participants receiving services.
  • Completes documentation in all required systems.
  • Conducts presentations to educate and inform groups and individuals on substance use disorder topics as required.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, social or behavioral sciences, psychology or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Education, social or behavioral sciences, psychology or related fields.
  • 1 year drug and alcohol services or equivalent combination of training/experience.

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
