Job Duties
- Conducts centralized orientation programming for all levels of clinical personnel.
- Serves as an educational consultant for leadership and staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, regulatory compliance, professional development, and other assigned committee work.
- Assists in the development of newly licensed registered nurses' transition to practice by engaging in the Nurse Residency Program as a Tales from the Bedside facilitator, EBP Project facilitator, NRP faculty, and writer for accreditation..
- Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates educational programs and utilizes methods, measurements, and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
- Utilizes learner evaluation data, stakeholder feedback, and peer input to improve learning outcomes.
- Conducts and analyzes formal and informal learning needs with leadership and staff; develops and implements revisions as necessary.
- Maintains accurate educational records in accordance with hospital and departmental policies.
Minimum Qualifications- Master’s Degree in nursing, education, or relevant field.
- 2 years of relevant clinical experience and
- 1 year of education/training experiences.
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)
- Knowledge of adult learning principles
- Ability to learn new knowledge quickly.
- Ability to work with individuals from different disciplines and different levels of training.
- Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic environment.

Physical DemandsLift and carry 40-50 lbs. Examples: Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force), lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight. Frequent to continuous standing/walking. Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift. *Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
