Directs and manages the care of patients in the Outpatient Endocrinology Testing department at LVH-Cedar Crest. Serves as a mentor and acts as a liaison to internal and external customers in regards to Endocrine Testing.

Job Duties

• Schedules, triages, coordinates, educates, and delivers direct patient care in the Endocrine Testing lab.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care for designated patients.
• Documents phone notes, treatments, testing, and procedures performed at the time of service for all endocrine testing patients.
• Collaborates with inpatient pharmacy to ensure proper medications are available on testing days.
• Collaborates with lab to make sure proper turnaround times for lab tests are followed.
• Communicates with the DCC registration staff about special needs for endocrine patients, if necessary.
• Collaborates with the Medical Director in developing and managing clinical protocols and interpretations.

• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing
• 2 years of experience in nursing in a health setting.
• Pediatric IV skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
• RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support - State of Pennsylvania

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
