Adult fitness 

The Health & Wellness Center at Hazleton is a state-of-the-art facility that serves all of the community’s health and wellness needs. Our fitness center is fully staffed by exercise physiologists who work with you to develop a customized plan. Make a seamless transition from therapy (physical, occupational, speech, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation) to the fitness center at the Health & Wellness Center at Hazleton. The exercise physiologists are fitness specialists who work with patients one-on-one to develop an individualized plan that is customized to meet personal fitness standards and promote medical health and safety as a top priority. Current patients completing their therapy at the Health & Wellness Center at Hazleton can enroll with the fitness center for a reduced yearly fee.

Kid fitness 

The rising obesity epidemic is greatly affecting our youth. The Health & Wellness Center at Hazleton is helping your kids stay fit and healthy through evaluations, individualized personal training sessions with modern, easy-to-use fitness equipment, and a kids weight management program. The Health & Wellness Center at Hazleton is open at convenient times to accommodate busy, on-the-run schedules. 

Weight management 

Adults

Obesity is a rising concern that is striking people of all ages. The Health & Wellness Center at Hazleton has developed a fun, comprehensive and effective weight management program that combines good nutrition with personalized training and education. The weight management program is a perfect solution for those looking to loose an extra few pounds, while also incorporating all the necessary components to assist bariatric patients in their weight-loss goals after surgery. The program includes an initial evaluation by a fitness specialist, development of an individualized fitness and nutritional program, access to state-of-the-art exercise equipment, personalized training sessions and two re-assessments to review your progress.

Additionally, the Health & Wellness Center at Hazleton is the only fitness center in the area that utilizes the benefits of the InBody scan, which tracks changes in body composition.

Kids

Childhood obesity is on the rise. Help take charge of your children’s health by enrolling them in the Weight Management Program for kids (ages 12-15). It’s a fun, comprehensive and effective weight management program that combines good nutrition with personalized training and education.

The program includes an initial evaluation by a fitness specialist, development of an individualized fitness and nutritional program, access to state-of-the-art exercise equipment, personalized training sessions, and two re-assessments to review your child’s progress. While kids are educated about and learn to use the fitness equipment, the exercise physiologists also encourage fun activities to keep participants motivated.

Athlete's Edge Program 

The Athlete's Edge Program is designed for elementary, middle school, junior varsity, high school, and college-level athletes between the ages of 10-18. Take your game to the next level with this month-long program that includes three sport-specific training sessions per week that focus on strength and conditioning and agilty drills. 

Participants of all physical fitness levels will build muscle, strength, cardio endurance, flexibility, dexterity and core strength through a variety of indoor and outdoor exercises. Participants will be educated throughout, including the basics of injury prevention.

Fit Start 

The Fit Start program is an easy way for 14-16-year olds to start a fitness program. The program includes five training sessions with exercise physiologists that focus on proper strength training techniques and teaches participants to use all cardiovascular fitness machines. The program includes a fitness assessment and fitness center membership.

SilverSneakers in Hazleton

The Health & Wellness Center at Hazleton now accepts SilverSneakers fitness members. SilverSneakers is a nationwide program that aims to improve overall well-being for active adults. Eligible participants gain access to many benefits, including fitness equipment, online education and more. This program is generally provided by your insurance company at no additional cost. The Health & Wellness Center at Hazleton is now one of more than 13,000 SilverSneakers participating fitness centers nationwide. All group exercise classes are an extra fee. Healthways/Tivity Health

Regular exercise is essential to healthy living and healthy aging, but common barriers—inconvenient facility locations, complex and costly memberships, lack of accountability and motivating support—keep millions of Americans from starting and sticking with a fitness plan. Prime® Fitness from Tivity Health helps remove these barriers by creating a single, simple membership program with flexibility and features designed to overcome excuses. Cardio classes at the Fitness Center are included as part of this membership.

Get Up & Go

This program provides cardiovascular and strengthening exercises to improve the well-being of those facing challenges such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and other disorders. In these sessions, participants will learn helpful techniques to improve their overall health and quality of life. Sessions include stretching, strengthening, fine motor exercises, and informative talks. They also include exercises that enhance functional capacity that will benefit participants in their everyday movements and actions.
