There are many community and government services that provide help for us as we age. This is not a complete list, but provides many links to organizations that may be of assistance to you:
Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels serves people in communities throughout Pennsylvania. These local organizations serve seniors or adults who are primarily homebound and unable to prepare nutritious meals because of advanced age, disability or illness. Contact the organization that serves your community:

Lehigh County/Adult Aging Services (The Caregiver Support Program)
Designed to assist family and other unpaid adult primary caregivers caring for functionally dependent older persons and adult relatives with chronic dementia. The program's goal is to reduce caregiver stress and burden through benefits and resource counseling, access to support groups, caregiving skills training and education.
Available to Pennsylvanians over the age of 60 to enable them to continue to live in their homes and communities with support and services.
Senior Community Centers
A place where senior citizens show that they still have a lot to give. The Lehigh County Office of Aging and Adult Services has eleven Neighborhood Senior Center programs throughout the County. The Centers offer social and recreational activities, educational opportunities, exercise classes, nutrition counseling and a daily nutritious lunch.

The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. Connect with the Alzheimer’s Association chapter that serves your area:
