- Transitional Skilled Unit (TSU)
The TSU is a 52-bed sub-acute skilled nursing and rehabilitation unit that provides around-the-clock nursing care, physical and occupational therapy and a full schedule of activities designed to support your individual progress.
At the TSU, you are the focus of everything we do. Our goal is to support you during your recovery as you regain your health and independence. Our team creates individualized treatment plans designed to help you reach your personal goals. We understand families are an important part of your recovery and include them in every step of the process.
As a skilled nursing facility, we care for newly discharged hospital patients who might need more time to recover. Conditions we care for include stroke, joint replacement, neuromuscular illness, heart attack, traumatic injuries, fractures, vascular disease and other illnesses.

At the TSU, you will receive a full spectrum of care from physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and our skilled nursing team. Our goal is to help you return to the highest-possible level of function. As a top-ranked skilled nursing facility, the TSU offers the highest quality in the following areas:
- Physical therapy – Helps you recover overall strength and mobility.
- Occupational therapy – Assists in practicing everyday necessities, such as dressing, bathing and more.
- Speech therapy – Provides evaluation and treatment of issues related to swallowing or speaking, as well as assistance with cognitive defects.
During your stay at the TSU, you will stay in a private room with access to top-notch skilled nursing care around the clock. Amenities such as flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi, valet parking, customizable meals and a wide offering of activities also are available. We even encourage you to dress in your regular clothing and take part in social activities.
Visitors are always welcome and even encouraged at the TSU. We have open visiting hours, and children are welcome when accompanied by an adult. Pets are even permitted to visit with special arrangements.

Admissions and financial information
If you feel that the TSU would be a good fit, you will need a referral from your physician.
We are certified by the Medicare program, and we also have contracts with private insurance companies and health maintenance organizations (HMOs).
