Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), proudly part of Jefferson Health, has announced the opening of a new ExpressCARE location and a new family medicine practice office. Situated together at 384 Airport Beltway in Hazle Township, the two resources will give residents in the area more access and more options for health care in their own hometown.
“We’re happy to be able to bring people in our community the convenience of an ExpressCARE together with a traditional primary care practice. This provides well-rounded access to whatever kind of care patients need,” says Tammy Torres, DNP, President, Lehigh Valley Hospital–Hazleton. “It’s especially beneficial now considering we’re at the beginning of flu season and at the start of the school year. We anticipate this ExpressCARE and LVPG practice will see a lot of activity in the coming weeks and months.”
The ExpressCARE and LVPG Family Medicine–Airport Beltway will open their doors to patients Monday, Sept. 9. The ExpressCARE is open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., 365 days a year, and no appointment is needed. This gives members of the community a place to go, even on the spur of the moment, for care when a minor health issue arises. Examples of conditions that would be appropriate for ExpressCARE include sprains, minor cuts, bruises, rashes and flu symptoms.
