Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN)'s Department of Psychiatry is hosting a free suicide prevention webinar, Talking About Suicide With Compassion and Confidence, as part of Suicide Prevention Month in September. This virtual program is open to the public and all LVHN colleagues.
The webinar will focus on suicide education and help you feel more comfortable supporting those with suicidal thoughts. You will learn:
- The warning signs of suicide risk
- How to ask someone about suicide, gain their trust and build rapport
- What to do if someone is considering suicide
- How to help individuals safely store potentially lethal means in their household
