More than 75 local motorcycling enthusiasts paraded by Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)–Schuylkill S. Jackson Street and LVH–Schuylkill E. Norwegian Street facilities recently as a way to say thanks to our health care community. LVH–Schuylkill was among about a dozen facilities that received the drive-by organized by Schaeffer’s Harley-Davidson of Orwigsburg and H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) Chapter of Deer Lake. Port Carbon Fire Company led the local parade.
Schaeffer’s said they wanted to show that they appreciate all that our colleagues at LVH–Schuylkill have done – and are doing – during this pandemic.
Hospital colleagues popped outside for a few minutes to view the motorcyclists; those who couldn’t, waved from the windows.
Schaeffer’s and the H.O.G. chapter have been good friends to LVH–Schuylkill and our community. In particular, they host an annual spaghetti dinner that benefits a gentle yoga program for cancer patients at LVH–Schuylkill.
