Introducing the Sterile Processing Department Internship Program

LVHN is announcing a new and exciting opportunity for recent high school graduates and students pursuing degrees in health care or related fields. Our sterile processing department (SPD) internship program is designed to provide a hands-on experience in health care operations. 

• Comprehensive training: Interns will learn the essentials of sterile processing, including decontamination, inspection, assembly and sterilization of medical instruments.
• Hands-on experience: Participants will work alongside our skilled colleagues in a real-world environment, gaining valuable skills that will set them apart in their careers.
• Career advancement: This program builds a strong foundation for future opportunities, with potential pathways into roles such as sterile processing technician, surgical technologist and more. Upon successful completion, interns will have the opportunity to choose a shift at either Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)–Cedar Crest or LVH–Hecktown Oaks.
