The annual Lehigh Valley Business Women of Influence awards highlight the best and brightest businesswomen who live and work in our region.

Each year, a group of exceptional women is honored for making the Lehigh Valley a better place to live and work by being leaders in and out of the workplace.

This year, two leaders were honored from Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), part of Jefferson Health. LVHN is proud to celebrate this year’s winners.

Kirstin Reed, Internal Communications and Engagement Manager, LVHN

Kirstin Reed is among Lehigh Valley Business’ Women to Watch for 2025. She is responsible for stewarding the internal communications strategy for LVHN’s 23,000 colleagues and is a firm believer in cultivating a culture through colleague engagement, open communication and impactful storytelling. Her contributions helped her team earn recognition as the 2020 Content Team of the Year by PR Daily and recognition by PR News for Crisis Communications for their response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Reed is dedicated to supporting LVHN’s largest colleague segment – nurses. She is the producer of LVHN’s Friends of Nursing awards, an annual gathering of 500+ network colleagues to celebrate the outstanding achievements and contributions of nurses, and was also a producer on the documentary “Strength to Heal,” which told the stories of nurses during the pandemic and premiered on PBS in September 2022.

Reed is a rising star in the health care industry and has presented on internal communications at multiple national conferences and summits, including the annual conference of the Society of Healthcare Strategy and Market Development in 2023.

She is also a colleague who is deeply committed to mentoring and supporting the next generation of health care leaders. She currently serves on the steering committee for the Administrative Fellowship program at LVHN and has served on the LVHN Young Professionals Leadership Council as co-chair of the communications and member relations committee. She also serves as the board president of the Penn State University Health Policy and Administration Alumni Group.

Amy Nyberg, President of Ambulatory Services for Jefferson Health

Amy Nyberg received a Woman of Influence Award for 2025. She focuses on growing ambulatory services across Jefferson and leads efforts to enhance the patient experience across Jefferson.

Nyberg joined LVHN in late 2019 and led the integration of Coordinated Health into LVHN, a large and complex undertaking both operationally and culturally.

She is an engaged and decisive leader who knows how to inspire, mentor and coach her teams. She is frequently seen in health centers and other ambulatory sites, celebrating high performing teams and encouraging colleagues to find ways to serve their local communities. Nyberg is an innovator with a heart for continuous improvement and a passion for transforming health care delivery to simplify processes, improve quality and reduce cost. She serves as a role model for aspiring women leaders across the organization.

Nyberg is dedicated to the next generation of health care administrative professionals. She regularly hosts LVHN’s Administrative Fellows for shadowing rotations, and is also an adjunct professor of Healthcare Systems Engineering for Lehigh University’s P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science.
