A new list from Money ranks Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH) among the top 10 hospitals in the country. LVH is eighth on Money’s List of Best Hospitals of 2024. This is the second year Money published this list.
“LVH provides world-class care and being ranked among Money’s top 10 hospitals is a reflection of our commitment to quality,” says Brian A. Nester, DO, MBA, President and Chief Executive Officer, Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN). “I’m incredibly proud of this recognition, but even more proud of the colleagues who made this possible. Without their compassion and dedication to our community , this would not be possible.”
To create the best hospitals list, Money and Denniston Data collected and analyzed data points from more than 6,000 hospitals across the nation. Only those that received between an “A+” or “B” in Money’s Composite Ranking Score (CRS) made the list.
“I could not be more proud of my colleagues for making LVH–Cedar Crest one of the best hospitals in the United States,” says Bob Begliomini, PharmD, MBA, Senior Vice President, LVHN, President, LVH–Cedar Crest and President, Lehigh Region. “This ranking is a recognition of their hard work and dedication to the people we care for every day.”
Money’s criteria for high-ranking hospitals includes the quality of care provided by clinicians. Denniston scored more than 1 million clinicians through its Provider Ranking System (PRS). This scoring system uses data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that measures experience, frequency of treatment and billable costs.
