The region’s first and most trusted children’s hospital is open night and day to care for your child.

In early October, Lehigh Valley Reilly Children's Hospital welcomed Fadi Nossair, MD, to the team.

“I have interest in research and in clinical practice in oncology, and I bring further training in hematology, where I have specialized in hemostasis, thrombosis, and other bleeding and clotting disorders,” Nossair says. “I look forward to working with hemophilia treatments and standardized approaches to the treatment of patients with thrombosis, sickle cell
disease, immune deficiencies and regulations, and other hematological disorders.”

Nossair notes that Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital has a strong sickle cell disease program he is excited to be a part of. “There are many new and novel therapies being approved for sickle cell patients, and we have a great opportunity to be ready in terms of recognizing who is best suited for each novel therapy,” he says.

Nossair also anticipates further developing multidisciplinary programs in a standardized evidence based manner to highlight prevention and screening and gain more knowledge on risk factors that will allow the team to identify patients at high risk. “I hope to develop communication between specialties to strengthen our program so that no patient is lost, follow-up is always performed, and the psychosocial needs of this very unique population are met,” he says.

At Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital, the goal is to see newly diagnosed cancer patients within the same day and most other referrals within one to two weeks, if not sooner.
