Earlier this month (April 2020), U.S. cities across the nation began to light up their landmarks in blue to show support and gratitude for front line health care workers who are "risking their lives and working tirelessly every day to fight the pandemic."

People all across the Lehigh Valley are decorating their homes with lights, chalk-art, yard signs and more to show their appreciation for our local health care heroes. People like Bob Schermerhorn, partner at ESG Systems, who sent us this picture of his home fully drenched in a beautiful shade of blue:

"I wanted to find some way to show the appreciation myself and the entire team at ESG has for all the communities' healthcare professionals and essential workers. After some thought, I decided the best way I could accomplish this while following the social distancing guidelines, was to do something right at home. The only remaining question was: what could I do? That actually turned out to be pretty easy. One of the many things that ESG does is lighting. We have been involved in the LED colored lighting of many of the buildings that dot the Allentown skyline. Including, the recent addition of the colored lighting at LVHCedar Crest. So, using the symbolic color of BLUE, every evening I set up a handful of LED fixtures and make my home glow blue. This is our way to say THANK YOU to all these brave people helping us get through these challenging times."
