LVHN Clinicians Celebrate Their Connection to Jefferson at Special Reception

Physicians and advanced practice clinicians who graduated from Thomas Jefferson University came together to learn about the future of medical education at Jefferson.

On Dec. 13, 2024, a special reception was held at Saucon Valley Country Club for Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) clinicians who are alumni of Thomas Jefferson University (TJU). The more than 80 guests in attendance graduated from TJU’s undergraduate, graduate, medical school and/or clinical training programs. In sum, nearly 350 LVHN colleagues have these ties to TJU.

The evening opened with remarks from Michael Rossi, MD, Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer, LVHN. Guests were excited to hear from keynote speakers Susan Aldridge, PhD, President, Thomas Jefferson University, and Said Ibrahim, MD, Anthony F. and Gertrude M. DePalma Dean at TJU’s Sidney Kimmel Medical College, who presented their visions for the future of education at Jefferson. Brian A. Nester, DO, MBA, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Jefferson, and President, LVHN, concluded the program.

As Jefferson and LVHN come together, events like this serve as an inspiring reminder of the already deep connections our exceptional organizations share. Moving forward, countless more colleagues may benefit from the remarkable educational opportunities – and tuition discounts – offered by Thomas Jefferson University.
