Two Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) colleagues have been recognized by the Northeast Pennsylvania Business Journal as among the Top 25 Women in Business. Amy Rubino, MSN, from Lehigh Valley Hospital–Dickson City, and Jody Shigo, MSN, RN, from Lehigh Valley Hospital–Hazleton, were honored for making an impact and being proven leaders in the business community. LVHN is proud to celebrate these women for their career accomplishments.

Two LVHN colleagues Named among Top 25 Women in Business
Amy Rubino, MSN, Lehigh Valley Hospital–Dickson City
Amy Rubino is the Administrator of Clinical Services at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Dickson City. Amy, a native of NEPA, joined LVHN in December 2021 as Emergency Room and Inpatient Unit Director at the new Dickson City hospital. Amy demonstrated her exceptional leadership skills by actively engaging in the build and planning for the facility, including recruitment and hiring of the nursing and patient care support staff. Her dedication helped ensure a successful hospital opening.
Amy’s leadership and tireless work ethic led to her promotion to Administrator in 2022. She continues to go above and beyond, overseeing the growth of the hospital, including the opening of the fourth-floor intensive care unit.
Amy is an outstanding nurse leader whose compassionate and enthusiastic leadership has contributed to excellent patient experience and outcomes.
Jody Shigo, MSN, RN, Lehigh Valley Hospital–Hazleton
Jody Shigo is the Vice President of Patient Care Services at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Hazleton. In this role, Jody is responsible for nursing leadership and management of a 150-bed full-service hospital, encompassing inpatient nursing, respiratory, critical care, inpatient rehabilitation, mother-baby unit, emergency room and perioperative services.
Jody’s leadership style focuses on empowerment, recognition, mentoring and teamwork across the organization. She encourages colleagues to be patient-focused and quality driven, introducing practices that have increased patient and colleague satisfaction and improved the quality of care provided to patients.
While involved with several community outreach initiatives, one of Jody’s favorites is Partners in Education (PIE), where she serves chairs the Greater Hazleton PIE Committee. PIE focuses on fostering an interest in STEM education for school-aged girls.
