Seven LVHN Leaders Recognized Among the Region’s Best
Lehigh Valley Business Power List for Health Care celebrates leaders who make positive impacts in the communities we serve
This year’s honorees are:
Brian A. Nester, DO, MBA, President and CEO, LVHN
Dr. Nester joined LVHN in 1998 as Chairman of the Department of Medicine. He served in many leadership roles throughout his tenure, including Associate Vice Chair for the Department of Emergency Medicine, Internship Program Director for LVHN's Emergency Residency Program, Chairman of the Lehigh Valley Physician Hospital Association, Senior Vice President for Physician Hospital Network Development and Chief Strategy Officer. Dr. Nester believes the health of our overall community is only as good as the least healthy segments of our community.
Anne Baum, President, Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital
Anne Baum has served as President at Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital for two years and is a firm believer in bringing colleagues together to deliver excellent care. She also believes that listening, learning and understanding the needs of her team have been crucial to her success as a leader.
Bob Begliomini, PharmD, President, Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest, Senior Vice President, LVHN; President, Lehigh Region
Bob Begliomini is responsible for executive leadership at LVH–Cedar Crest, LVH–17th Street and LVHN–Tilghman. He says his leadership style centers around the creation of culture. Begliomini believes health care is a team sport and everyone plays a crucial role in providing the best care possible for our patients.
Dennis Ganc Jr., Director, Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Services, LVHN
Dennis Ganc Jr. has direct oversight of all EMS pre-hospital departments within LVHN and collaborates with departments across the health network. Ganc says his leadership style is highly democratic, and he empowers his team by encouraging everyone to participate in decisions that are made within his department.
Robert X. Murphy, MD, Executive Vice President and Chief Physician Executive, LVHN; President and CEO, Populytics
Dr. Murphy oversees more than 1,300 physicians and 1,000 advanced practice clinicians in his role. He also builds and maintains relationships with many independent physicians across the region. Dr. Murphy also serves as President and CEO of Populytics. He describes his leadership style as collaborative, delegatory, supportive and appreciative of “horizontal integration.”
Suresh G. Nair, MD, Physician in Chief, Lehigh Valley Topper Cancer Institute
Dr. Nair leads 50 specialized physicians at Lehigh Valley Topper Cancer Institute and more than 600 colleagues. He also leads the Cancer Institute’s collaboration with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Nair believes taking a grassroots approach has allowed him to recruit and retain the amazing colleagues he currently leads. Dr. Nair has an active oncology practice, where he specializes in immunotherapy and precision medicine.
Martin K. Till, President and CEO, HNL Lab Medicine
Martin Till has served as HNL Lab Medicine’s CEO for two years and his primary focus has been to strategically broaden the organization’s lifesaving work. Till takes a collective approach toward better care, better outcomes and better futures through empowered colleagues. Till also has served on LVHN’s Board of Trustees for 17 years, serving as vice chair for 15 years.
