Three LVHN Leaders Listed Among Lehigh Valley Business Power 100

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN)’s leaders continuously work to make positive and meaningful impacts on our community, and three of them are being recognized for the differences they’ve made: Brian A. Nester, DO, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Jefferson; Anne Baum, President, Lehigh Valley Reilly Children's Hospital; and Robert X. Murphy, MD, Enterprise Chief for Provider Network Development, Jefferson.

These leaders are among the 2025 Lehigh Valley Business Power 100, a list that showcases the exceptional people who help shape the Lehigh Valley to make it a great place to live and work.

This recognition lets our community know LVHN’s leaders are trusted and will continue providing expert guidance to our colleagues and community.

Dr. Nester joined LVHN in 1998 as Chairman of the Department of Medicine. He served in many leadership roles throughout his tenure, including President and CEO of LVHN, Associate Vice Chair for the Department of Emergency Medicine, Internship Program Director for LVHN's Emergency Residency Program, Chairman of the Lehigh Valley Physician Hospital Association, Senior Vice President for Physician Hospital Network Development and Chief Strategy Officer. Dr. Nester believes the health of our overall community is only as good as the least healthy segments of our community.

Anne Baum has served as President at Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital for more than three years and is a firm believer in bringing colleagues together to deliver excellent care. She also believes that listening, learning and understanding the needs of her team have been crucial to her success as a leader.

Dr. Murphy oversees more than 1,300 physicians and 1,000 advanced practice clinicians in his role. He also builds and maintains relationships with many independent physicians across the region. Dr. Murphy serves as President and CEO of Populytics. He describes his leadership style as collaborative, delegatory, supportive and appreciative of “horizontal integration.”
