In Luzerne and Schuylkill Counties, Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) has expanded its virtual care options to include urology and ear, nose and throat (ENT)/otolaryngology through a new service called Virtual Hubs.
Virtual Hubs are designed for patients who may be new to virtual visits, not comfortable with the technology or do not have access to the equipment needed for such an appointment.
Virtual Hubs allow a patient to meet remotely with their clinician via an audio/video system and high-resolution camera stationed in a private area or exam room of a nearby LVPG location.
Prior to the start of the appointment, a medical assistant prepares the patient, following the same process as an in-person visit.
Clinicians can refer patients to LVHN’s Virtual Hubs to increase patient access to urologists and ENTs while decreasing travel time, costs and appointment wait times. Urology and ENT Virtual Hubs are available in Schuylkill County. In Hazleton, only the Urology Virtual Hub is available.
