Travis C. Dayon, MD

Hi I’m Travis Dayon, Chief of Obstetrics with LVHN and an Ob/Gyn generalist with the Lehigh Valley Physician Group. After growing up in New Jersey, I completed my undergrad at The University of Scranton in Pennsylvania. I then returned to Jersey for both medical and residency. After completing residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 2014, I moved here along with my wife and 2 daughters. We settled in quickly and have found the Lehigh Valley a wonderful place to call home. We now have a total of 4 children and have never doubted our decision to move to Pennsylvania.

The moments I spend with the residents of our program are some of the most rewarding aspects of my professional life. I have the opportunity to work with the residents in all aspects of my practice. From Labor & Delivery, to my office practice, to the Robot OR, I am thankful to be a part of the development of our physicians.

Lisa M. Dapuzzo-Argiriou, MD

Hello, friends! I’m Lisa Dapuzzo and I’m the Co-Rotation Leader, Gynecology . Born and bred in NJ, I have to come to love life in PA. I did my undergraduate education at Rutgers University and then went to Penn State University for medical school. I did my residency at LVHN and stayed here for multiple reasons, but largest of which was to teach residents in our program.

I am interested in treating chronic pelvic pain and substance use disorder in pregnancy. If you see me in the CWM, you will likely find me running around making sure everything is going smoothly for our patients, our providers and our staff. I love being there and love seeing the residents grow and mature.

I am the gyn rotation leader, which is great, because more than anything I love teaching surgery. I am so proud when I see two residents doing a major surgery together at the end of their residency.

A fun fact about is me: I’m 4’11” and yet can be classified as a Category V hurricane.

I live with husband, George, and two boys, Tommy and Johnny. Like many of our attendings, I love Disney. I love spending me with my family, going to the beach, spending me in the pool, and reading a good book!

Joseph E. Patruno, MD

Hello, I’m Joe Patruno and am a proud member of the OBGYN Department and faculty at Lehigh Valley Health Network where I’ve worked for the past 15 years.

I have played multiple roles in our department including the Chief of Gynecology and also the OBGYN Program Director for 8 years. More recently I have served as our health networks Medical Staff President and currently serve as our systems Chief Wellness Officer.

Women’s health, education, and how best to create a culture of wellbeing for our clinicians and care teams are my passions. I enjoy working with residents and students in the clinical setting, as well as, in the simulation lab. My practice focus is chronic pelvic pain and vulvar disorders and my goal is to have you graduate with a keen knowledge of how to best manage these challenging conditions both in the office setting with procedures and in the operating room surgically.

Outside of the hospital I enjoy spending time with my 3 children and wife Megan who is the Associate Athletic Director at Muhlenberg College. We are lucky to be part of two great communities in LVHN and Muhlenberg and adore exploring and being part of the great Lehigh Valley. I enjoy biking, tennis, and traveling and look forward hopefully to working with you in the future.

Christina M. Black, MD

Hello, I’m Christina Black, and I’m the residency program director. I’m originally from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. I did my undergrad and medical school through Penn State University and my OBGYN residency at Georgetown University. I settled in Lehigh Valley in 2008 and have never regretted my decision. I love the community, the faculty, and obviously our residency. The best thing about our residency is the people. I’m a generalist with the hospital practice, Lehigh Valley Physician Group OBGYN. I love spending time on the labor floor and still enjoy night call. I have a passion for outpatient ambulatory care and honestly enjoy having an office day that is a mix of different people and issues. The best aspect about being an OBGYN is getting to know my patients and talking them through their options and solutions for whatever life throws at them.

Previous to becoming the program director, I was the SELECT USF medical student clerkship director at Lehigh Valley. I have always enjoyed educating and sharing patient experiences with the students and the residents. Being a program director allows me to advocate for people that I genuinely care about. I want to ensure that we strive to give every resident the best educational experience in a supportive environment. We all know residency is not easy, and our residents have created a culture where everyone has each other’s backs.

I have countless blessings, with the biggest being married and having two children who all create adventure and fun in my daily life. I love cooking and entertaining friends and always am looking for the next thing to do. The beautiful Pennsylvania hills are where myself and my family have decided to call home. We are extremely happy to have our work family, who I would not trade for the world.
