If you need to cancel
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact your LVPG practice as soon as possible. Early cancellation allows us to offer your time slot to another patient awaiting care. We will try to reschedule your appointment with the clinician you were scheduled to see as quickly as possible. If that clinician does not have an available appointment, we will offer you an appointment with another clinician within one week. If you cancel an appointment but do not reschedule, we will contact you to ensure you schedule time to get the care you need as quickly as possible.
If you’re late
If you arrive after your scheduled appointment time, we will review the schedule to determine if your clinician is able to see you at another time on the same day. If there is an opening, we will let you know how long you will have to wait. If you are unable to wait that long, we will see if another clinician is available to see you sooner. If you cannot wait at all, we will reschedule your appointment within the proper time frame based on the reason for your care.
If you miss your appointment
If you do not show up for a scheduled appointment, we will contact you to ensure you schedule time to get the care you need as quickly as possible. If we cannot contact you via phone or MyLVHN, a letter will be sent to your home with directions on how to reschedule your appointment.
