St. George’s University School of Medicine
Dalena Dang, MD, is a first-generation Vietnamese American, born and raised in the suburbs of Massachusetts, and she is an avid Boston sports fan. She attended the University of Massachusetts Boston and received a bachelor’s degree in biology. Before attending medical school, she volunteered and worked at the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston for six years to solidify her love for patient care and became an integral support-staff member to the medical team as an inpatient unit secretary. In addition, she runs the administrative responsibilities of her family owned spa business in Boston. She went on to pursue a career in medicine, graduating from St. George’s University School of Medicine where she spent her first two years on the beautiful island of Grenada and the remaining two years rotating through multiple New York City hospitals. She has always believed that family and community are integral parts of a person’s overall well-being, which helped her find her passion for family medicine. Her interests in medicine include primary care, LGBTQ+ patient care and urgent care. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new places to eat, cooking, watching anime and K-dramas, dancing and doing jigsaw puzzles. She also loves learning how to make vegetarian alternatives to meals that she grew up with for her partner and spending time outside finding new activities to try.
