Hello, my name is Daniel Pedersen and I am the Associate Program Director for the Walter and Irene Baran Schuylkill Family Medicine Residency Program.

Originally from South Jersey, I now live and work in Schuylkill County. I am board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from Dickinson College in 2007 in Carlisle, Pa., and my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2011. I completed my family medicine residency at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland, N.J. I joined Lehigh Valley Health Network in November 2021 after seven years of private practice.

Since moving to Schuylkill County, I’ve been amazed at how warm, welcoming and grateful everybody in the area has been.

I view education in medicine as an honor – the most significant way to give back to a profession that has provided me with so much. I am beyond excited to be here at Lehigh Valley Health Network in this capacity and thoroughly enjoy working with the residents.

When not working, I enjoy reading, gardening, fly fishing, spending time with my daughters, Marcia, Aurora and Georgia, our giant schnauzer, Lily, and our cat, Trixie.
