Hello! My name is Dorothy Jacquez, and I am the Educational Programs Coordinator for the Family Medicine Residency and Sports Medicine Fellowship. In addition to working with the residency and fellowship, I am the Clerkship Coordinator for fourth-year medical students. It’s hard to believe that I will be celebrating 15 years with the department and plan to be around for the next 15 because they are my family away from home. I was born and raised in New York City and relocated to Allentown, Pa., in 1993 with my children Kevin, Jayson and Stephanie. Who knew that 30 years later I would be blessed with six granddaughters and a grandson? They are my world, and I enjoy spending my free time with them whenever possible. However, do not underestimate this grandma. I enjoy activities that give me an adrenaline rush, too, especially zip lining and skydiving. One day, I hope to roll around and play with baby elephants (on my bucket list). Lastly, I enjoy being at the beach reading a good book or just listening to the sound of the waves crashing.
