Originally from Texas, I did all of my schooling in Texas prior to deciding to move up to the northeast for residency. It was me for a change! After completing residency at LVHN, my original intentions had been to move back down to Texas after graduation but I love the people at LVHN and decided to stick around. After residency graduation, as I was thinking about the next "test" - the oral board exam- staying at LVHN with its awesome educational support system in place seemed like the best idea and now I can proudly say I am "board certified". Getting through the board exam process would have been difficult without the emotional support I got from my colleagues, not to mention the countless mock oral exams I did. One of the great things about working at LVHN is that our department stays on top of the ACOG publications & the most up to date recommendations from the various professional organizations & publications.

My husband and I love to travel, eat good food, and scuba dive. As one of my co-residents (who is also a diver) once said, "Scuba diving - it's the new attending sport."
