J. Nathan Hagstrom, MD, MS, FAAP
Chair, Department of Pediatrics; Physician in Chief, Lehigh Valley Reilly Children's Hospital
Dr. Hagstrom is Chair of Pediatrics at LVHN and Physician in Chief of Lehigh Valley Reilly Children's Hospital. He is board-certified in both pediatrics and pediatric hematology-oncology. He joined LVHN in 2013, is professor of pediatrics at the USF Morsani College of Medicine and holds the Forrest G. Moyer, MD, Distinguished Chair in Pediatrics.
Prior to joining LVHN, Dr. Hagstrom was an associate professor in pediatrics at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, and division head of hematology-oncology at the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
Dr. Hagstrom has a Master of Science degree in Health Care Management from Harvard University. He received his medical degree from the University of Vermont and received his general pediatric and pediatric hematology-oncology training at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He has a special interest in bleeding disorders and congenital anemia and has been involved nationally and internationally in efforts and organizations to improve the care of people with bleeding disorders and children with hematological disease. He has been the Regional Director for the Mid-Atlantic Region of Hemophilia Treatment Centers since 2022. The region consists of the 16 federally funded centers in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.
