Jeffrey M. Kuklinski, DO

Dr. Jeffrey Kuklinski was born in Doylestown, Pa., and is a graduate of Ursinus College. He obtained his medical degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia. His residency in emergency medicine was completed at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown. In addition to his residency training at LVHN, he completed a fellowship in emergency medical services. He later obtained a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in health care management from Western Governors University. Most recently, Dr. Kuklinski completed his Certified Medical Transport Executive certification through the Association of Air Medical Services in Wheeling, W.Va.

Dr. Kuklinski has more than 20 years of experience in emergency medicine with a special interest in emergency medical services. He is a board-certified physician in Emergency Medicine at Lehigh Valley Health Network and serves as the Chief of the Division of EMS for the network. His role as a division chief affords him the opportunity to oversee the EMS activity within the network. Those responsibilities include providing medical direction for the network’s critical-care air and ground program, the network’s ALS/BLS ground program and the department of public safety –  which includes the office of emergency management, communications and security. He also serves as the EMS specialist for each of the service lines including trauma, neurology and cardiology.

In addition to his responsibilities at LVHN, Dr. Kuklinski is very active in the EMS activities of the community. He serves on the board of directors for the Pennsylvania Emergency Health Services Council, Eastern PA EMS Council and the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation. As part of those board memberships, he is involved in several committees within those organizations including the medical advisory committees, the performance improvement committee, the ALS/BLS committee and the tactical EMS committee. He serves as a medical director for several EMS agencies in the region, including the City of Allentown, Allentown Police Department Emergency Response Team, Macungie EMS, Bally EMS, Upper Perkiomen EMS, Lehigh County Special Operations and several QRS agencies. He also serves as the medical director for Pocono Raceway and lead emergency medicine physician for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms professional ice hockey team (the American Hockey League affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers). On a national level, Dr. Kuklinski sits on the EMS Subcommittee within The American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians. His passion for several aspects of EMS keeps him actively engaged within several facets of pre-hospital care.

In his spare time, Dr. Kuklinski enjoys the outdoors including snowboarding, skiing, hiking and playing golf. He also enjoys teaching the residents at LVHN and the pre-hospital professionals through the George E. Moerkirk Emergency Medicine Institute. As a faculty member of the EMS fellowship, he will be able to continue the rich tradition of passing along his knowledge and expertise to the next generation of emergency medicine residents with a desire to enter the field of emergency medical services. Working with the fellowship allows him the ability to improve the EMS system and realize his vision for superior patient-centered care for members of his community and members of communities across Pennsylvania.
