Jennifer Stephens, DO, MBA, FACP

Dr. Stephens is a practicing Internist and the Chief Medical Officer for Ambulatory Quality and Population Health for Jefferson Health. In addition, she is the Chief Value and Ambulatory Care Officer for Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) as well as a Chief Medical Officer for Lehigh Valley Physician Group (LVPG).
Dr. Stephens’s career includes over 20 years of different leadership and administrative roles within the areas of graduate medical education, ambulatory health care, quality management, practice leadership and accountable care organization (ACO) development, value-based care delivery, and medical operations.
Her work has included development of ambulatory GME curricula and quality program design, operational leadership and growth of ambulatory clinical programs, performance optimization within value-based quality programs, leadership and facilitation of multidisciplinary and cross-departmental quality improvement initiatives, quality management infrastructure development and responsibility for the quality and operational performance within accountable-based care arrangements.
Dr. Stephens received her undergraduate training at Ursinus College with medical studies at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency training at LVHN with a subsequent year as Chief Medical Resident. She received a Master of Business Administration with a focus in Health Care Administration from DeSales University.
Her passion is around driving patient-centric, team-based, high-value care.
