Julie A. Gualano
Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program Manager
Hi there! My name is Julie Gualano and I am the Program Manager for the Ob/Gyn residency program at LVHN. I have been working in PGME for 13 years and began my career in family medicine. I joined the department of obstetrics and gynecology in 2011 as the program coordinator before being promoted to program manager in 2016. I also serve in the national role of Program Planning Chair for APMOG (Association of Program Managers in Ob/Gyn) which is a position I hold very dear to my heart. In this role I focus on program manager wellness, empowerment and leadership within the role of a program manager and professional development. I received my bachelors degree in human resources management in 2013 from DeSales University. My primary focus within my role is to use my background in PGME and HR degree to advocate for our residents and guide them through their time here where they are both learners as well as network employees.
On a personal note, I grew up in the Lehigh Valley in a small town called Catasauqua and enjoy spending time with my family. My husband Matt and I have two children, Caleb (10) and Lily (7). I am a self proclaimed Disney nerd and love spending time outside in my vegetable garden and traveling with my family.
Fun Fact: I graduated with my bachelors degree when my daughter was two weeks old.
