Thank you for your interest in our program. My name is Justin Guthier, DO, and I am an associate program director for the Internal Medicine Residency.

I graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2011. I have been with Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) since 2011. I came to LVHN with a vision of becoming a cardiologist. Throughout my training at LVHN, I had many mentors both in the department of medicine and Lehigh Valley Heart and Vascular Institute. I eventually completed my internship, residency, chief resident year and cardiology fellowship all at LVHN. In 2018, I took a position as a clinical cardiologist and associate program director of the Internal Medicine Residency – an absolute dream job. I am proud of my training. LVHN is a great place to work. If you choose to join our program, I will guarantee that we will train you to become an excellent clinician.

The Lehigh Valley is a wonderful place to live. My wife and I have four children. We love spending time outdoors, participating in intramural sports and enjoying the local dining scene together. We also love to go to sporting events as a family. Our favorite activity as a family is to attend IronPigs baseball games. It is a truly fun, affordable experience in the Lehigh Valley.  Lehigh Valley is centrally located to both Philadelphia and New York City and is within an hour of major international airports.

On behalf of our faculty and administrative team, we wish you the best of luck in your pursuit of residency education. Our faculty come from both within and outside of LVHN and bring varied experience and expertise but serve a common goal: to make you an incredible physician and enable you to pursue your dream career in internal medicine.
