Katerina chose family medicine primarily for its commitment to serve others. She knew she would enjoy a profession that involved interaction with people on a daily basis, but also one that integrated the knowledge of the arts and sciences. Medical missions also interested her very much, whether locally or overseas. She was drawn to the idea of working with people of various backgrounds with the purpose of bettering their health and well-being. She received her undergraduate degree in chemistry and English from Case Western Reserve University in 2001 and her medical degree from Milton S. Hershey College of Medicine/Pennsylvania State University in 2007. She finished her family medicine residency at Saint Vincent Health System in Erie, Pa., in 2009. Her personal interests include spending time with my family and friends. She often enjoys being outdoors or visiting her family and friends in different towns and cities. She also very much enjoys cultural events and festivals, learning about other cultures and celebrating her own.
