As a registered dietitian, Lisa is grounded in the belief that achieving true health and well-being begins within each of us. She says her discovery of mindfulness “changed the way I approach life in all ways, bringing more understanding, compassion, and joy to my life and the lives of others.” After taking the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Curriculum and realizing the tremendous benefit it had in her life, she completed required studies to become a mindfulness teacher at University of Massachusetts and Brown School of Public Health. Since 2011, she has presented workshops for health professionals and community and opened a meditation center. In 2020 Lisa joined Lehigh Valley Health Network Center for Mindfulness and Shanti Project as a mindfulness teacher. She published a paper in The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Renal Nutrition Forum titled, “Mind Body Medicine: Utilizing Mind Body Techniques as a Complement to Nutrition Intervention in the Dialysis Unit.”
