Luke Mason, PhD
Luke Mason, PhD. was born in New York City but primarily grew up in Bethlehem, PA. He received a bachelor’s degree with concentrations in Child Development and Psychology from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY. After graduating from Sarah Lawrence, he spent four years working as a research assistant in the Research Unit of Pediatric Psychopharmacology at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. He attended graduate school in the Doctoral Program for Clinical Psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. While in graduate school he received generalized training to work with individuals across the developmental span and also pursued interests in specializing with children and adolescents. He completed his dissertation on nonverbal miscommunication in children with anxiety disorders and its subsequent impact on social functioning. During his studies, he gained invaluable experience and a personal passion for working in behavioral integration while on externship at Mountainside Family Practice in Verona, NJ. This passion has led him to continue his involvement and dedication to working in primary care and within family medicine. His personal interests include spending time with family and friends. He also enjoys technology, film, reading, and being silly with his fiancée and children.
