I am the current ER Medical Director, with more than 20 years of experience in this role and as an instructor of residents, medical students, physician assistant students and nurse practitioner students. I find emergency medicine stimulating and an ongoing challenge, and I enjoy the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others. For these same reasons, I enjoy teaching.

I most enjoy living and working in a somewhat rural setting, where the medical staff has a chance to get to know each other well. At Schuylkill, I can count on the specialty support that makes me most effective while feeling like part of a smaller community. This hospital and its staff represent the best in medicine from my perspective.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy the outdoors, spending time with my family and fitness activities.

Our emergency department sees a wide variety of pathology and offers opportunity for interactive learning. This experience might not be readily available at larger institutions with layers of hierarchy in their training programs.
