Meredith L. Rochon, MD
Curriculum Director, Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship
My name is Meredith Rochon, and I am the Chief of Maternal Fetal Medicine. I am originally from New City, New York (NYC suburbs). I did my undergraduate education at Harvard College, my medical school education at SUNY Downstate, my residency in OB/Gyn at Baylor College of Medicine and my fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. My clinical interests include prenatal diagnosis, fetal therapy, multiple gestations, alloimmunization, inpatient obstetrics and diabetes. I also have a strong interest in the business of medicine, education, research and programmatic development.
I came to LVHN in 2005 at the completion of my fellowship, and I have never been tempted to leave. From a professional standpoint, LVHN offers a broad clinical and professional experience including a diverse patient population, a large MFM division with multiple subspecialty programs and a wealth of experience, a busy obstetrical service, a large number of transports from other hospitals, a strong residency program, and plenty of research opportunities. I particularly like teaching residents about ultrasound, clinical management of complex obstetrical patients, and working with residents on clinical research projects. On a personal level, I cannot think of a better place to live and raise a family than the Lehigh Valley, which offers many activities for singles and families alike with easy access to airports and cities (NY and Philadelphia). In my free time I enjoy outdoor activities with my husband and 5 children, reading, and spending time with my 3 dogs.
