Hi, I'm Nael Hawwa. I am an associate program director of the internal medicine residency program. I settled in the Lehigh Valley in 2017 after completing residency, general cardiology and advanced heart failure fellowships at Cleveland Clinic. My journey in life has taken me across various countries, including the United Kingdom and Jordan, before coming to the United States in 2010. This experience taught me to celebrate the diversity of the human experience and view the world through different lenses.

Our program aims for the best of both worlds: high volume and acuity with a community feel. I have a passion for education and strongly believe in paying it forward not only in education, but life in general. The internal medicine residency program provides both traditional medical knowledge and also education in the academic mindset, patient-centered approach and the strive toward providing more equitable care.

I love the outdoors and beautiful hiking trails in the Lehigh Valley (let's not talk about snowstorms, though), and the proximity to New York City and Philadelphia is a personal plus. I have a passion for soccer, so for those who play or watch, I'm sure we'll get along. We'd love for you to be a part of our residency family, and for one day to join our faculty.
