Hi, I’m Nissa Gossom and I am a nurse midwife with LVPG OB/GYN. I am originally from Los Angeles, California. I went to college outside of LA and then moved to Cleveland, Ohio for nursing and midwifery school. I also found my husband there and we move the Lehigh Valley right after we were married. We love this community and it is a good mix for my Midwest husband and California self. We have beautiful countryside with lakes, rivers and hills for hiking and we are only an hour from Philly and an hour and half from Manhattan. We have found a wonderful community and great friends here. Outside of work I love to spend me exploring the area with my family and our dog. I have 2 young daughters that keep me very busy and I love to bake, garden and read.

I am providing full scope midwifery care, which means that I see patients in the office for general OB/GYN care and manage and labor and birth in the hospital. I love seeing the full spectrum and that I have patients that I was able to help them with the birth of their children, care for them in the pregnancies and then continue providing care for them in an office GYN setting. I enjoy building relationships with my patients and working with them to help them achieve their best health.

Throughout my me at Lehigh Valley I have discovered a passion for education. I love working with our residents, medical students, PA students, NP students and Midwifery students to help them grow and learn.
