Ranju Gupta, MD
President-Elect, Lehigh Valley Health Network Medical Staff
Ranju Gupta, MD, is President-Elect of the Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) Medical Staff, and a member of the Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH) and LVH–Dickson City Board of Directors. Every two years, the combined medical staff of LVHN’s hospitals elects one physician to serve as president-elect, president and past president within a six-year term. The president, president-elect and past president comprise Troika, a trio that represents the nearly 1,800 physicians and approximately 1,000 advanced practice clinicians at LVHN.
Dr Gupta is a hematologist-oncologist with specialization in breast cancer with Lehigh Valley Topper Cancer Institute. She also is co-director of Lehigh Valley Heart and Vascular Institute’s Cardio-Oncology Program, which has been recognized by the International Cardio-Oncology Society as a global center of excellence with a gold rating, the highest level of society awards. Only 31 hospitals or health systems in the world have a gold rating, including 22 in the U.S.
Dr. Gupta received her medical degree from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi, India. She completed residencies in internal medicine at Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, India, and Coney Island Hospital, Brooklyn, NY. She completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY. She joined LVHN in 2008, and is board-certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology.
Dr. Gupta has been honored with the Circle of Excellence status for 2021 Women of Influence Awards by Lehigh Valley Business, and the Living Positive Change Award presented by Rising Together Women’s History Month 2021. She and her husband, Anil Gupta, MD, interventional cardiologist with LVPG Cardiology, have a son and a daughter.
